Over 1.4M Canadians reached during Sportsnet’s coverage of NBA All-Star weekend

The NBA All Star Weekend took place this past weekend in Los Angeles. The weekend kicked off on Friday night with the Rising Stars game, featuring Canadian Jamal Murray. Team World took the win over Team USA 155-124, with Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Sacramento Kings taking MVP honours.

All Star Saturday Night, the most anticipated night of the entire weekend, did not disappoint! Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets took home the trophy for the Skills Challenge over a field that also featured Canadian Jamal Murray. The Toronto Raptors’ Kyle Lowry gave it his best shot in the Three-Point Contest, but couldn’t advance to the final round. Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns set a new record in the competition, scoring 28 points to take home the title. Finally, the always popular Slam Dunk Competition closed the evening. It was a two man race between Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz, and Larry Nance, Jr. of the Cleveland Cavaliers, with Mitchell taking the title with a homage to Vince Carter on his final dunk.
